The Mepilex® Border Sacrum from Mölnlycke is an anatomically shaped, five-layer foam dressing specially developed for the treatment and prevention of wounds in the sacral region . The unique shape adapts perfectly to the anatomy and stays securely in place even during movement.
The dressing is suitable for the treatment of exuding wounds , including pressure ulcers , diabetic foot ulcers , traumatic wounds (such as skin avulsions), and postoperative wounds . Its five layers—including the Safetac® silicone adhesive layer , an absorbent foam pad , and an impermeable, breathable outer film —create an optimal moist wound environment that supports healing while reducing the risk of maceration and skin breakdown.
Mepilex® Border Sacrum is not only a reliable wound dressing, but also clinically proven for pressure ulcer prevention in vulnerable patient groups.
