Cutimed Sorbion Sorbact is a sterile, antimicrobial wound dressing with high absorption capacity. It combines a superabsorbent core with proven Sorbact technology, which binds microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi purely physically – without chemical additives. This makes the dressing particularly gentle on the skin and suitable for extended periods of use. The controlled absorption of wound exudate helps prevent maceration, stabilizes the wound environment, and supports the natural healing process.
Areas of application
Cutimed Sorbion Sorbact is suitable for the treatment of heavily to excessively exuding wounds. These include pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, vascular ulcers, postoperative and traumatic wounds. The dressing can be used on clean as well as contaminated, colonized, or infected wounds and is also suitable for use in compression therapy. The dressing's service life depends on the amount of exudate and the condition of the wound, but should not exceed three days.
