The CLEARTEST Cardio rapid / Infarct test is a qualitative in-vitro diagnostic rapid test for the supportive early detection of acute myocardial infarction. It combines the detection of the cardiac markers hFABP and troponin I and is designed for professional use in the point-of-care setting.
The test is suitable for time-critical diagnostic situations, as the result can be visually evaluated within approximately ten minutes. hFABP can be detected in the blood shortly after a cardiac event, while troponin I serves as an established marker for further assessment. The combined marker approach supports an initial evaluation in acute cases.
The CLEARTEST Cardio rapid can be performed with whole blood, serum, or plasma and is intended for use in emergency rooms, ambulance services, hospitals, general practitioners' offices, and mobile settings. Storage at room temperature is possible, which facilitates use outside of traditional laboratory environments.
This test is intended for diagnostic support and is solely for professional in-vitro diagnostic use. Test results must always be evaluated within the overall clinical context and in combination with other diagnostic measures.
