The Uricult Plus culture medium from AIDIAN is a carrier for the semi-quantitative determination of pathogenic bacteria in urine. The carrier contains three agar media: CLED agar, MacConkey agar, and enterococcal agar, and is designed for the examination of urine samples. CLED agar promotes the growth of urinary bacteria and is designed to prevent crystal formation. MacConkey agar is used to differentiate gram-negative bacteria, and enterococcal agar is intended for the detection of enterococci. The system is used for the identification and quantification of bacteria in urine, including in the context of urinary tract infections, in microbiological diagnostics in clinical laboratories and medical facilities, and for the analysis of urine samples to determine bacterial load. The combination of the three agar media enables the semi-quantitative determination of various bacterial groups in urine. The system is designed for rapid evaluation and covers a wide range of applications in the diagnosis of common urinary tract infections as well as in the monitoring of existing findings.
