The training arm for intravenous injections is a simulation model for the anatomically accurate representation of a human arm with an integrated elbow crease. The arm is made of soft, skin-like plastic and is designed for realistic practice of intravenous injections. An interchangeable injection site with an integrated vein is positioned in the elbow crease, replicating the location and course of the median cubital vein. The vein can be visualized and palpated by applying a tourniquet. The model's material properties also allow for the simulation of the lateral displacement of a vein under mechanical pressure. Both the outer skin and the injection site are interchangeable, enabling long-term use of the model. Its design, feel, and function are based on anatomical teaching standards and serve to accurately simulate intravenous puncture conditions.
