Suprasorb® A Pro is a sterile wound dressing for moist wound management of moderately to heavily exuding wounds. The combination of calcium alginate fibers and stabilizing cellulose fibers ensures improved shape retention, high tear resistance, and reliable exudate absorption.
Upon contact with wound fluid, an ion exchange of calcium to sodium ions occurs, resulting in a soft, gel-like material. This gel binds exudate, cell debris, and microorganisms, helping to maintain a moist wound environment. Simultaneously, it promotes autolytic wound cleansing.
Its flexible and adaptable structure allows for use even in wound cavities or uneven wound areas. Suprasorb® A Pro is sterile, individually sealed, and intended for use with suitable secondary fixation.
