The numbered foot skeleton by Erler-Zimmer is an anatomical teaching model for illustrating the bony structures of the human foot. The model is based on a true-to-life cast and is designed for use in training, teaching, and clear demonstrations.
All bones of the foot are individually modeled and movably mounted on wire. This construction allows for the representation of the anatomical structure and the spatial relationships between the tarsal, metatarsal, and toe bones. Unlike the unnumbered standard model, the individual bones of this model are additionally numbered, thus enabling a clear identification of the structures depicted in teaching and practice contexts.
The model is supplied without a stand and can be used flexibly in various teaching and demonstration situations. Due to its compact design, it is suitable for use in the lecture hall as well as for independent study of foot anatomy.
The numbered foot skeleton is intended for use in medical and anatomical education, including orthopedics, physiotherapy, and podiatry. It serves solely to illustrate anatomical structures and is not intended for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications. Use outside of its intended teaching and demonstration purpose is prohibited.
