The MediSmart Ruby blood glucose monitoring system is an electronic device for the quantitative determination of blood glucose levels. The system operates without test strip coding, thus simplifying handling. The ergonomically curved design of the device promotes safe and controlled operation. A large LCD display with backlit digits and enlarged buttons facilitate reading and navigation. The monitoring system complies with the requirements of the DIN EN ISO 15197 standard. Features include the ability to mark measurements before and after meals, a warning function for elevated ketone levels, and automatic detection of insufficient blood volume. The device has internal memory for recording measurements and allows data transfer via a mini-USB interface for software-based analysis.
