This soft abdominal replica serves as a practical training model for explaining and practicing the correct subcutaneous injection technique. It supports the learning of the injection rotation while maintaining the recommended distance of approximately 5 cm from the navel. The model is suitable for various syringe types, including pen systems, and allows for realistic simulation in self-medication training.
The skin-like surface provides a natural feel to abdominal tissue and allows for realistic injection practice. A soft plastic backing prevents the model from being punctured. Small openings ensure sufficient air circulation and facilitate drying after liquid injections. For training purposes, the use of distilled water is recommended. Other substances, such as insulin, should not be used, as they can impair the material properties.
This model is designed as a consumable item. Extended use can be achieved by using fine needles and regularly changing the injection sites.
