The medium-sized dog knee model is an anatomical teaching and demonstration model for illustrating the knee joint of a dog. The model depicts the bony and connective tissue structures of the joint in an anatomically correct arrangement and is designed for use in training, teaching, and research.
The model depicts the relevant bone structures of the knee joint, including the femur, tibia, fibula, and patella. It also shows the menisci, cruciate ligaments, and other ligaments and tendons involved in stabilizing and guiding the joint. The individual structures are designed to clearly illustrate their spatial relationships.
The model allows for a clear understanding of joint mechanics by visually representing the movement positions of the knee joint. It serves to teach the functional anatomy of the canine knee joint and is not intended for clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic applications.
