The anatomical model "Fetal Skull, 35 Weeks" by Erler-Zimmer is a three-dimensional replica of a human fetal skull at the end of gestation. The model is used to illustrate external and internal skull structures in training, teaching, and anatomical demonstrations.
The model features a removable skullcap that reveals the interior of the skull. This makes the structures of the endocranium, the base of the skull, anatomical foramina, and the orbit visible. External features such as cranial sutures, fontanelles, and bony structures are rendered according to the depicted developmental stage.
The model is designed for use in medical and anatomical education, including the teaching of osteology and the illustration of prenatal skull development. It serves solely to demonstrate anatomical structures and has no diagnostic or therapeutic function.
Due to its detachable design, the model is suitable for demonstrations where both external and internal skull structures need to be shown. Use outside of its intended teaching and demonstration purpose is not permitted.
