The extended version of the diabetes injection pad is a training model for the realistic simulation of subcutaneous injections. It replicates different tissue textures and allows for the realistic representation of normal subcutaneous tissue as well as hardened areas, such as those that can occur in lipohypertrophy. The material combination allows for the creation of an abdominal fold and provides a differentiated, skin-like tactile sensation during injection. The injection pad is puncture-proof and designed for repeated punctures. A flexible fastening strap allows it to be worn on the body, enabling training under anatomically accurate conditions. The model is wipeable, robustly constructed, and intended for regular use in training and educational settings.
