The Dermal Lesion Pad is a training and simulation model for depicting superficial skin structures in dermatological education. The product is intended solely for training and practice purposes and is not suitable for use on actual patients.
The training pad consists of a multi-layered structure that simulates the epidermis, an underlying layer, and a fascia-like base layer. Artificial skin lesions, such as mole-like structures and skin tags, are integrated into the upper layer. These serve to represent different training scenarios within the context of simulated dermatological procedures.
The model is designed to simulate various biopsy and skin preparation techniques. It enables structured training sessions on instrument handling and incision and sampling techniques within a training environment. Statements regarding medical outcomes, diagnostic value, or therapeutic benefit are not part of its intended purpose.
The Dermal Lesion Pad can be used with commercially available training instruments and is intended for use in medical training facilities, lectures, and simulation training. It is not intended for use in patient care, diagnostics, or therapy.
