The CLEARTEST light Troponin I is a chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of human cardiac troponin I (cTnI) in whole blood, serum, or plasma. The test serves as a supplementary tool in professional in-vitro diagnostics for assessing potential myocardial damage. The detection limit is 0.5 ng/ml.
The test is based on anti-cTnI antibodies in combination with a specific capture reagent. It is performed in three steps (sample collection, sample preparation, testing) with results available after ten minutes. The CLEARTEST light Troponin I test is intended exclusively for use by medical professionals and is not suitable for self-testing.
