The leg skeleton is a true-to-life cast of the bony structures of a human leg and accurately depicts the anatomy of the lower extremity. The model includes the femur, tibia, fibula, and foot, and can be disassembled into these main components for teaching and demonstration purposes. All bones are anatomically correct in proportion and show relevant surface structures and joint areas. Unlike versions with a pelvic component, this model is made without half of the pelvis, resulting in a compact design. This construction allows for an objective examination of the bony anatomy as well as the articulation of the knee and ankle joints. The model is designed for the structured presentation of the lower extremity.
