The CLEARTEST Troponin I is a visual, chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of human troponin I. The test system is intended for the examination of EDTA or citrate whole blood, capillary blood, serum or plasma and serves as an adjunct to in vitro diagnostics in cases of clinical suspicion of myocardial damage.
Troponin I is a cardiac structural protein that can be released into the bloodstream when heart muscle cells are damaged. The test provides a visually interpretable result via a line reaction within approximately ten minutes and is designed for use in time-critical diagnostic situations.
The CLEARTEST Troponin I test can be used in emergency care, hospitals, doctors' offices, and other medical facilities where a rapid, preliminary assessment is required. The detection limit is 0.5 ng/ml. It is intended for professional in-vitro diagnostic use only.
Store between 2°C and 30°C; avoid freezing. Perform, read, and interpret the test according to the instructions for use. Test results support the diagnosis and should always be evaluated within the overall clinical context.
