
LAVANID Wound Gel and LAVANID Wound Gel V+ are sterile hydrogels based on Ringer's solution for cleansing and moisturizing acute and chronic wounds. They contain 0.04% polyhexanide (PHMB), which is used solely as a preservative. The gels support local wound care, especially for sensitive or poorly healing wounds. LAVANID Wound Gel is characterized by good flow properties, while LAVANID Wound Gel V+ has a higher viscosity and improved adhesion.

Further information
LAVANID wound gels are applied directly to the wound or to a wound dressing and then covered. If necessary, the wound can be moistened with a suitable wound irrigation solution before changing the dressing. The products are intended for repeated and long-term use. Polyhexanide is not an active ingredient but is used solely as a preservative.
