The D-dimer rapid test is an immunochromatographic, qualitative in vitro diagnostic test for the detection of elevated D-dimer concentrations above a cut-off of 500 ng/ml. It is designed for the supportive exclusion diagnosis of thromboembolic events and for preliminary assessment in the hemostaseological context.
