The CLEARTEST Pneumococcal Rapid Test is a qualitative in-vitro diagnostic test for the detection of pneumococcal antigens ( Streptococcus pneumoniae ) in human urine. It is designed for professional use and supports timely diagnostic assessment in cases of suspected pneumococcal infections.
The test is based on an immunological detection method and delivers a visually interpretable result within approximately 15 minutes. It is easy to perform and requires no additional equipment, making it suitable for point-of-care use.
The CLEARTEST pneumococcal rapid test can be used in general practices, hospitals, emergency rooms, as well as in laboratories and research institutions. Since pneumococci are only partially stable outside the body, antigen detection in urine represents a complementary diagnostic option.
