Developed by physicians for physicians and healthcare professionals , this advanced simulator combines the ability to practice a wide range of gynecological examinations with the practical application of laparoscopic examination and minilaparotomy . The life-size female lower torso is equipped with all major anatomical structures and allows for the practice of bimanual palpation , palpation of the normal and pregnant uterus , and vaginal examination (including the use of a speculum). The simulator also offers the ability to perform visual examination of the cervix , uterine sounding , and the insertion and removal of an IUD .
In addition, contraceptives , vaginal diaphragms , vaginal condoms , and pessaries can be inserted and removed. The ability to perform laparoscopic visualization and occlusion of the fallopian tubes , as well as minilaparotomy , expands the training options and makes this simulator a comprehensive training tool for all aspects of gynecological examination and emergency medicine.
