The BD Venflon Pro is an advanced version of the proven BD Venflon design, offering a superior solution for intravenous therapy. The catheter is made of polyurethane (BD Vialon), a material that ensures exceptional biocompatibility and reduced venous irritation, thereby minimizing mechanically induced venous irritation (phlebitis) and its associated adverse effects.
Thanks to the high kink resistance and antithrombogenicity of polyurethane, the BD Venflon Pro offers a constant flow rate and optimal catheter comfort while simultaneously reducing the risk of thrombosis. The catheter's thin-walled design ensures high flow rates with maximum stability, making it ideal for safe and efficient intravenous therapy.
Another outstanding feature is its high radiopaque contrast , which allows for easy positioning and monitoring. The stainless steel cannula with its beveled edge reduces puncture trauma and ensures particularly gentle insertion.
The BD Venflon Pro features a snap-lock injection valve that produces a secure and audible "click" to ensure the system is sealed. Additionally, the catheter is equipped with a removable BD Luer-Lok locking plug , allowing for a secure and straightforward connection.
