Cutimed Gel is a highly effective solution for the treatment of necrotic and fibrinous slough in chronic wounds. It is a transparent, amorphous hydrogel specifically developed for the autolytic debridement process, in which wound slough is gently removed through the wound's natural self-cleaning mechanism.
The gel offers a decisive advantage over mechanical or surgical debridement procedures because it is gentle on the tissue and does not place additional strain on healthy tissue. By continuously delivering moisture to the wound, it supports healing and promotes gentle removal of wound debris.
Thanks to its high stability and viscosity, Cutimed Gel is easy to apply and stays securely in the wound without slipping or evaporating quickly. This allows for its long-lasting effect. Furthermore, the gel can be easily rinsed from the wound bed with physiological saline or Ringer's solution.
