The drainable silicone dressing is designed to cover large skin and wound defects and is suitable for wounds with high exudate production. The thin, permeable polyurethane foam dressing absorbs excess wound fluid while simultaneously forming a protective barrier against external influences. This promotes a controlled wound environment, making it suitable for the management of complex wound conditions.
The silicone coating, based on Safetac technology, allows for atraumatic contact with the wound bed. During dressing changes, the risk of the dressing adhering to the tissue is reduced, facilitating a less painful and gentler procedure. At the same time, the silicone layer helps protect sensitive skin areas and can minimize skin irritation around the wound edges.
The dressing is sterilely packaged and intended for professional use in hospitals, clinics, and home care settings. It is particularly suitable for postoperative wounds, chronic wounds, and large defects with high exudate levels.
