The PTFE tubing made of polytetrafluoroethylene is a high-performance tubing with excellent chemical, thermal, and mechanical resistance. It is suitable for demanding applications in laboratories, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and industry. Due to its virtually universal chemical resistance, the material remains dimensionally stable and functional even when in contact with aggressive media.
The hose is temperature-resistant from approximately -200 °C to +260 °C and can be used in both cryogenic and high-temperature processes. Its smooth, non-stick surface reduces build-up and facilitates the transfer of liquids and gases. Simultaneously, the very low coefficient of friction ensures optimal sliding properties and minimizes pressure loss. PTFE is biocompatible, non-flammable according to UL94 V0, and does not absorb water, thus ensuring a high level of process reliability.
Thanks to its inertness, the hose is resistant to most cleaning and disinfecting agents and suitable for sterilizable applications using steam, gas, or chemical processes. It is free of plasticizers and silicone, thus meeting the requirements of sensitive medical and pharmaceutical applications. Various inner diameters and wall thicknesses allow for precise adaptation to individual applications, including high-pressure applications or use as insulation tubing in electrical systems.
