Fresenius Polytrol sets are infusion systems for the precise and safe administration of gravity infusions. They feature a finely scalable flow regulator with an adjustment range of 5 to 250 ml/h, allowing for exact adaptation of the infusion rate to different therapeutic requirements. The PVC-free tubing contributes to patient-friendly application and supports environmentally conscious material standards.
The system is equipped with a micro-smooth spike for secure access to the infusion bottle. An integrated, closable ventilation with a bacterial filter supports hygienic working procedures. The transparent drip chamber with an integrated particle filter larger than 15 µm allows for visual control of the dripping behavior and contributes to safe administration. A Luer-Lock connector ensures a stable and standard-compliant connection to venous access points.
Depending on the version, the sets are additionally equipped with a needle-free access system, which reduces the risk of needlestick injuries and simplifies the clinical workflow. Polytrol sets are suitable for use in hospitals, clinics, doctor's offices, outpatient care, nursing facilities, emergency medical services, and in homecare settings.
