The IO training shoulder is a specially developed training model for the realistic simulation of intraosseous access for fluid administration. Humeral intraosseous access is gaining increasing importance as an alternative to intravenous access and represents a crucial treatment option, particularly in emergency situations. This trainer allows healthcare professionals to learn and practice the correct technique and safe handling required for drilling intraosseous access points in a practical setting.
The model allows for the practice of three different drill positions for humeral intraosseous access, thus enabling the simulation of various realistic emergency scenarios. Anatomically accurate landmarks support the reliable identification of the correct puncture site and promote an understanding of proper fluid administration. This makes the trainer particularly suitable for the training of paramedics, emergency physicians, and other medical professionals.
Replacement bones and skin covers can be exchanged quickly and easily, allowing for continuous training sessions without interruption and ensuring consistent training quality.
The training model supports realistic practice of humeral intraosseous access, offers several defined drilling options, anatomically correct landmarks and interchangeable components, and is designed for use in emergency medicine, rescue services and medical training facilities.
