The FreeStyle Precision β-Ketone Test Strips are designed to determine the blood ketone level of β-hydroxybutyrate. They allow for measurement with a blood sample of 1.5 µl and provide a result in approximately 10 seconds. The test strips are individually foil-wrapped, which promotes hygienic handling. They are used with the FreeStyle Precision Xceed and Precision Xtra blood ketone meters. They are used to determine β-hydroxybutyrate in the blood, to monitor suspected diabetic ketoacidosis, and in individuals with type 1 or insulin-dependent type 2 diabetes. The test strips are suitable for use in clinics, medical practices, or at home. They provide rapid results, require a small blood sample, and are designed for measuring β-ketone levels in the blood. The individually foil-wrapped design ensures hygienic use. The test strips are intended for use with capillary whole blood only, are not suitable for use with urine samples, and are for single use only. The instructions for use must be followed.
