This three-part skull model serves to anatomically illustrate the masticatory muscles and jaw movements. It demonstrates the functional relationships between the skull, mandible, and masticatory muscles and is suitable for training, teaching, and demonstration purposes.
The masticatory muscles are represented by elastic bands, which depict the masseter, temporalis, and medial and lateral pterygoid muscles. This allows for a clear demonstration of jaw closure, jaw opening, and lateral and frontal movements of the mandible. The skullcap is removable, and the mandible is mounted for movement. The model is anatomically accurate and designed for use in training and education. It is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
