The Cederroth eyewash station is a sterile, ready-to-use eyewash solution for the immediate rinsing of the eyes upon contact with acids, alkalis, or other chemical substances. It is intended for first-aid use and serves to quickly dilute and remove irritating or corrosive substances from the eye.
Unlike conventional sodium chloride solution, this special buffer solution supports the neutralization of alkalis and acids and helps to rapidly stabilize the pH value in the eye. This is particularly important when in contact with alkaline substances, as these can penetrate deeper into the tissue. The solution is 100% phosphate-free and can therefore also be used with calcareous materials such as cement or concrete.
The eyewash station is sterile and ready for immediate use, requiring no additional preparation. The ergonomically designed nozzle allows for targeted and even rinsing while keeping the eye open. Its long shelf life of up to 4.5 years facilitates stockpiling in first-aid stations, workshops, laboratories, production areas, and other work environments with potential chemical hazards.
The Cederroth eyewash station is designed for use as a standalone product or as a supplement to stationary eyewash stations.
