The ActiFast tubular bandage, designed for very large torsos in adults, is a versatile two-way stretch bandage for fixation and skin protection. It is suitable as an underdressing to alleviate sensitivity to touch, as well as for securely securing and covering dressings during moist wound healing. Ointments can also be reliably held in place.
Thanks to its elastic, seamless knit structure, the bandage adapts perfectly to different body shapes. The two-way stretch offers improved adaptability compared to conventional tubular bandages and ensures a wrinkle-free application without constriction. The material is skin-friendly and can be cut to size, allowing for flexible use in everyday clinical and nursing practice.
The ActiFast tubular bandage can also be used as an undercast for plaster and cast dressings and facilitates time-saving fixation of padding materials and wound dressings. If required, it can be sterilized with steam at 121 °C. The purple/violet version serves as a size indicator for very large torsos in adults.
