Metalline® dressings from Lohmann & Rauscher were specially developed for the efficient, painless care of wounds with drains or tracheostomies . They feature a special metal-coated wound contact layer that reduces adhesion to the wound , thus enabling atraumatic, virtually painless dressing changes .
Thanks to the smooth surface structure , wound exudate is quickly drained away without the compress sticking to the tissue. This reduces the risk of infection, increases comfort, and improves wound healing – ideal for sensitive or hard-to-reach wound areas such as drainage outlets or tracheostomies.
